Japan Water Forum Fund 2011

 

The Japan Water Forum is pleased to invite NGO in developing world to apply for the Japan Water Forum Fund (JWF Fund) 2011. The Japan Water Forum makes small grants to grassroots NGO in developing countries involved in rainwater harvesting; digging wells; small-scale water supply; water-efficient irrigation; upgraded sanitation facilities; restoration of aquatic environment; approaches to solving gender issues.

 

Example of projects, that can be awarded the grants from JWF Fund 2011

 

1. - Installation of rainwater-harvesting tanks, ponds or digging wells;

2. - Development of small scale water supply systems;

3. - Building new toilets and upgrading existing sanitation facilities;

4. - Prevention of water-related disasters projects;

5. - Establishment and encouragement of water-efficient irrigation;

6. - Solving gender issues on water and sanitation;

7. - Water environment restoration activities.

 

Note:

=> It is highly suggested that your proposed project include capacity-building / awareness-raising programs.

=> If your project is only capacity-building/ awareness-raising program, it may not be selected.

=> Please note that the presented project must be implemented by March 31, 2012.

 

Deadline

July 13 to 27, 2011. Any applications submitted before July 13 and after July 27, 2011 will be not accepted.

 

Grant Size

Up to 1,000 US$ per project / NGO. Only one project will be accepted from one organization

Important Note

Please, do not send unsolicited emails or mail seeking funding support to donor agencies. This will discredit your NGO and can also bring bad reputation to you as an individual as well as a NGO.

Fund raising is a competitive process and you need to follow ethics and not spam donor emails with long, unrelated requests for fund / grant support. If you just keep sending emails seeking support without knowing your donor, your chances of raising funds for your NGO will be drastically reduced and you may be blacklisted as a spammer.
